PART 3: The hum of the Rolls-Royce engine was a low, soothing purr, a stark contrast to the screaming chaos Elena had left behind in the ballroom.

The hum of the Rolls-Royce engine was a low, soothing purr, a stark contrast to the screaming chaos Elena had left behind in the ballroom. She sat back, letting the plush leather absorb the remaining tension in her shoulders, her fingers still intertwined with her father’s. The warmth of the cabin was wrapping around her like a protective shield, but just as her eyes began to drift shut, the heavy SUV leading their three-car motorcade slammed on its brakes, its tires shrieking against the wet asphalt.

Elena was thrown forward against her seatbelt, her heart leaping into her throat as Arthur instantly threw a protective arm across her chest. Through the rain-slicked windshield, the headlights of their vehicle cut through the darkness, illuminating a sleek, silver sports car parked horizontally across the narrow estate exit road, completely blocking their escape.

The door of the silver car swung open, and out stepped Victoria Sterling, her ruined silk gown trailing in the mud, her bare feet splashing heedlessly into the freezing puddles. Behind her, Julian stumbled out of the passenger side, his eyes wild, holding a heavy tire iron he had grabbed from the trunk, his desperation having morphed into something primal and dangerous.

"Get out of the car!" Victoria screamed, her voice a cracked, manic screech that penetrated even the soundproof glass of the Rolls-Royce. She threw herself against the hood of Elena’s vehicle, her manicured nails clawing at the pristine metal, leaving streaks of dirt and rain. "You don't get to just walk away! You ruined us! You planned this, you pathetic little gutter rat!"

Inside the car, Arthur’s face darkened, a dangerous, predatory coldness settling into his features as his hand reached toward the console to alert the security detail. But Elena placed her hand over his, her grip surprisingly firm, her eyes locked on the two desperate figures outside.

"No, Father," Elena said, her voice steady, carrying a quiet authority that made even the billionaire patriarch pause. "This ends tonight, face-to-face."

Before Arthur could protest, Elena pushed her door open and stepped out into the freezing wind, the rain instantly stinging her skin, but she didn’t flinch. She stood tall, her father's cashmere coat draped over her shoulders like a cape, looking down at the two people who had spent months trying to crush her spirit.

Julian lunged forward, raising the iron bar, his face twisted in a mask of pure rage. "You think you're untouchable now? You think because you have his name, you can just destroy my life? I made you, Elena! You were nothing before me!"

"Keep your distance, Julian," a voice boomed from behind them. Arthur Vance stepped into the rain, his towering frame casting a massive, terrifying shadow, flanked by four hulking security guards who instantly leveled their sights on Julian.

Julian froze, the heavy iron trembling in his grip as the reality of the red laser dots dancing across his chest finally penetrated his manic hysteria. He dropped the bar, the heavy metal clattering uselessly against the asphalt, his knees buckling as the last of his artificial courage drained away, leaving him weeping in the rain.

Elena walked slowly toward Victoria, stopping only inches away from the woman who had poured mop water on her head just hours prior. Victoria tried to hold her chin high, but her trembling lips and the wild, darting panic in her eyes betrayed her.
