Chapter 1: The Smile He Wore Like a Weapon

Dressed in an elegant tuxedo, the handsome groom stepped down the opulent golden hallway, a radiant smile on his face as he prepared to surprise his bride.
Quietly opening the dressing room door, his excitement froze when he overheard her hushed phone conversation:
"That fool doesn't suspect a thing.
He actually thinks I love him.
Here's the plan: I marry him, and in six months, I file for divorce.
You know it...
I only want his money."
Every word struck like a blade.
The warmth in his eyes vanished, replaced by cold, venomous fury.
Clenching his fists and tightening his jaw, he turned away from the door, a dark resolve settling over him:
"So she's been playing me this entire time...
She'll get exactly what she deserves at the altar."
His steady strides toward the chapel now carried the weight of impending revenge...
---
She thought she had him fooled.
She had no idea what was waiting for her at that altar.
