Chapter 1: The Woman Who Knew the Song

"I'll marry the woman who can make my son stop crying." The declaration slices through the deafening murmur of the high-society gala, dropped by a towering, heavily tattooed man in an open-chest black tuxedo who casually swirls a glass of amber whisky.
Beside him, a young boy in a miniature black suit stands paralyzed in sheer agony, tears streaming uncontrollably down his flushed cheeks as his desperate sobs echo against the glittering crystal chandeliers.
😢
Around them, the sea of wealthy elites freezes in disbelief.
A stunning, impeccably dressed female guest gasps, her eyes widening in absolute shock at the sheer audacity of the ultimatum.
Seizing the moment, she rushes forward, dropping to her knees on the marble floor to cradle the child.
"Stop crying, sweetheart," she pleads, her voice dripping with practiced elegance, yet the boy only wails louder, rejecting her touch.
Then, stepping out from the shadows of the banquet staff, a woman dressed in a classic black-and-white maid's uniform pushes past the glittering crowd.
She kneels beside the weeping boy, her eyes softening with a deep, unbreakable maternal instinct.
Opening her lips, she begins to hum softly before singing a gentle, haunting lullaby: "Stop crying, my beloved child." 💔
The boy's frantic sobs instantly stutter to a halt.
Through a heavy veil of tears, he looks up, his small chest heaving as his big, innocent eyes lock onto the maid.
"That's the song my mother used to sing to me," he whispers, the innocent words falling like a lead weight into the dead silence of the room.
😨
Across from them, the tattooed man stiffens.
His whisky glass stops mid-air, his jaw tightening as his piercing gaze locks onto the maid with a dark, suffocating intensity.
He steps closer, his voice a low, dangerous growl that vibrates with suppressed fury and disbelief: "Where did you learn that song?"
The maid stops breathing.
