Marcus's fingers moved fast across the keyboard, pulling up the security app.
The footage loaded in seconds.
Maya lunged at him.
"Marcus, STOP—"
He held up one hand.
"Don't touch me."
She froze.
The timestamp read 2:47 PM.
Marcus hit play.
What he saw made his stomach drop.
Arthur had walked calmly into the living room carrying a cup of tea.
He set it on the coffee table.
He said something — Marcus turned up the volume — *"Maya, your tea is ready."* Then Arthur turned to leave.
That was it.
That was all he did.
But Maya didn't know about the camera.
Because the next moment, she grabbed her own neckline with both hands and tore it herself.
Then she threw herself onto the floor and started screaming — three full seconds before Marcus even walked through the front door.
Marcus slowly stood up straight.
The color had drained from his face.
Behind him, Maya's voice dropped to barely a whisper.
"Marcus…
I can explain—"
"Explain?" He turned around.
His voice was dangerously quiet.
"You made me h*t my own father."
Arthur was still on the sofa, pressing a trembling hand against his jaw, watching his son with exhausted, heartbroken eyes.
But then Marcus's phone buzzed on the table.
He glanced down at the screen.
The name that appeared stopped him cold.
