Chapter 2: The Black Card and the Smile That Ended Everything

Part 2 ⬇️

The garden fell silent.

Every guest turned.

Even the string quartet stopped mid-note.

The man who stepped out of the SUV was tall, silver-haired, and wore a dark suit that cost more than most people's cars.

Two assistants flanked him.

He didn't rush.

He didn't need to.

His eyes found his daughter immediately — her torn dress, her bare shoulder, the tears still wet on her face.

His jaw tightened.

"Sophia." His voice was low and controlled, but it carried across the entire garden.

"Come here."

The bride let out a short, sharp laugh.

"Oh, wonderful.

Daddy's here to rescue his little girl." She turned to the guests with a smirk.

"Someone escort these people off my property."

The security team moved forward — then stopped.

One of the father's assistants stepped forward, held up a single black card, and spoke four words into his earpiece.

Four words.

That was all it took.

Within seconds, every security guard on the estate lowered their hands and stepped back.

The estate manager appeared from the side door, his face completely drained of color.

He crossed the courtyard quickly and whispered something directly into the bride's ear.

Her smirk disappeared.

Daniel grabbed her arm.

"What's wrong?

What did he say?"

She didn't answer.

She was staring at the silver-haired man with an expression no one at that wedding had ever seen on her face before.

Pure fear.

😨

And then Sophia's father looked directly at Daniel — and smiled.

What that black card unlocked changed everything — and Daniel had no idea what was coming for him.
