They laughed because I didn't fight back when they destroyed my wedding suit.

My wife took my silence as weakness.

My daughter believed the man who had abandoned her deserved to walk her down the aisle more than the father who raised her.

Neither of them knew I had already heard their plan to st\*al my home, workshop, and savings.

They intended to use Monday's mortgage appointment to transfer everything into Raymond's account.

But the properties were protected by a trust only I controlled.

That included the Bayfront Pavilion, the luxurious venue hosting their wedding.

I gathered the torn pieces of my suit, called my attorney, and secured every deed before sunrise.

Then I reviewed our finances.

My wife had purchased expensive gifts for Raymond using our joint account, but that was only the beginning.

Thousands had already disappeared through transfers carrying my daughter's signature.
