Chapter 1: The Bicycle


"Stop crying.
It's just a toy."
That's what my father told my four-year-old after destroying his birthday bicycle.
My mother stood beside him and added:
"You're raising him weak."
I didn't yell.
I didn't threaten anyone.
I simply picked up the ruined bicycle and turned toward Dad's prized car.
