Aaliyah had saved for months to purchase the perfect white dress.
Then she stepped into her bedroom and found Mia standing beside it with scissors.
The dress was ruined.
“What did you do?!”
“It was ugly anyway.”
When David hurried upstairs, Mia immediately started crying.
“She came at me first!”
Vanessa put her arms around Mia.
Then David glanced at Aaliyah.
“Apologize to your sister.”
“For WHAT?”
That was when Grandma Evelyn entered.
She saw the destroyed dress and finally confronted her son.
“You’ve been choosing them over Aaliyah for six years.”
Then Evelyn pulled out a legal envelope.
Aaliyah’s grandfather had left a large education fund to the first biological grandchild who graduated high school.
That money belonged to Aaliyah.
But someone had recently attempted to transfer it to Mia.
David demanded:
“Who did it?”
Evelyn placed the documents in front of him.
“Your signature is right there.”
Aaliyah slowly looked at her father.
