Chapter 1: The House She Owns
Loretta ripped six-year-old Isolde's medical brace from her leg.
"Weak heirs belong upstairs with the luggage."
Isolde collapsed onto the marble floor.
Then Valentino rushed in from his office.
He secured the brace and lifted his crying daughter.
"Daddy…
Grandma gave my bedroom to Aunt Claudia."
Loretta didn't apologize.
Instead, she pointed toward Valentino's office.
"Cross me and you lose this family."
Valentino said nothing.
He made one small gesture.
Two bodyguards immediately carried Loretta's suitcases toward the front door.
She stared at him.
"You can't throw me out of my own house!"
Valentino slowly looked at his mother.
Then handed her the property deed.
Her name wasn't on it.
Isolde's was.
"You st0le her bedroom…"
His voice turned cold.
"…inside the house she owns."
