Chapter 1: The Signature Behind the Wedding

My Daughter-In-Law Sl*pped Me At The $45,000 Wedding I Paid For—Then Ordered Me To Leave Without Realizing Almost Every Contract Still Had My Signature On It.

Over two hundred guests watched Tiffany h*t me.

My cheek stung.

But I hardly noticed.

I was staring at Daniel.

My only son stood six feet away.

And did nothing.

Then Tiffany pointed toward the exit.

“Leave.

You’re ruining my wedding.”

So I walked out of the ballroom.

But inside the restroom, something finally became clear.

The venue contract?

My name.

The extended bar?

My name.

The band’s extra hours?

My name.

Transportation.

The honeymoon suite.

Tomorrow’s farewell brunch.

All mine.

I called the venue manager and asked one question:

“What can still be canceled tonight?”

Several services could.

So I went to his office.

Read every agreement.

Then withdrew authorization from everything I was still legally able to stop.

When I finished, the manager collected the paperwork and walked toward the ballroom.

Tiffany was still laughing with guests.

Until she saw him approaching with the folder.

That was when her smile disappeared.
