"My father used this to teach my mother how to submit."
Preston Hale raised a metal golf club inside the locked bridal suite.
Giulietta Marconi never screamed.
She slipped off her engagement ring, placed it on the vanity, took the club from him when he swung—and sent him down onto the sofa before his father could reach the room.
Then Warren Hale stepped inside.
"You're marrying into my family."
The hallway behind Giulietta suddenly filled with Marconi capos.
"No.
Your son was marrying into mine."
Warren went pale immediately.
But not because the wedding was over.
