Chapter 1: The Man She Thought She Knew
SHE MOCKED HER EX FOR “STILL LOOKING BROKE”…
BUT WHEN THE LAMBORGHINI DRIVER CALLED HIM “MR.
DAVID,” SHE REALIZED SHE HAD JUDGED HIM TOO SOON
David was waiting outside a luxury hotel when he unexpectedly crossed paths with his ex-girlfriend after ten years.
She glanced him up and down and immediately laughed.
“Wait…
is that really you?”
David smiled slightly.
“Yeah.
It’s been ten years.”
She looked at his simple clothes and shook her head.
“Ten years, and you still dress like you’re broke?”
David remained calm.
“I’m doing fine.”
She laughed.
“You can’t even afford dinner with me.
I’d have to pay for everything.”
Then she smiled smugly.
“I’m actually glad I left you.”
David didn’t respond.
He just stood there quietly.
A few seconds later, a blue Lamborghini suddenly stopped in front of the hotel.
The driver stepped out, headed directly toward David, and politely said,
“Mr.
David, your car is ready.”
The woman’s smile instantly vanished.
David took the keys from the driver.
She stared at the Lamborghini in total shock.
“Wait…
that’s YOUR car?”
David calmly opened the driver’s door.
She suddenly changed her tone.
“Wait, wait!
Look, I didn’t mean that!”
David looked at her for a moment.
But he didn’t say a word.
He simply got inside, closed the door, and drove away.
The woman stood there watching the Lamborghini disappear.
Just minutes earlier, she thought David was broke.
Now she was standing alone outside the hotel, realizing she had judged him by his clothes…
And she had no idea how successful he had become.
