Chapter 1: The Papers She Thought Would Set Her Free

She wanted a divorce for his money.
She never knew the fortune was already in his mother's name.
A woman proudly reveals that she wants a divorce and admits she was after her husband's wealth and property.
But she gets an unexpected answer when he reveals that his entire fortune and billion-dollar company are already registered in his mother's name.
He signs the divorce papers and walks away.
She stood there holding the signed papers, certain she'd won.
Her lawyer had told her the company was worth over a billion.
The house, the cars, the accounts — all of it should have been hers.
But when she called the bank, the answer stopped her cold.
"There are no assets registered under that name, ma'am."
She called again.
Same answer.
She drove straight to his mother's house and knocked hard on the door.
"You knew," she said the moment the older woman opened it.
"You both planned this."
His mother looked at her calmly.
"My son worked for twelve years while you spent his money and laughed at him behind his back.
Did you really think we didn't know?"
She felt the ground shift beneath her feet.
"That company was built in my name before you ever stepped into this family," the mother continued.
