Chapter 1: The Sister No One Recognized
She was simply trying to do her job at the wedding when the bride decided to humiliate her in front of almost everyone.
Emily was holding a champagne tray through the ballroom when Vanessa intentionally knocked it from underneath.
Crystal glasses shattered across the marble floor, champagne soaked Emily’s uniform, and before she could even process what had happened, the bride sl@pped her and sh0ved her against the wedding cake table.
Then Vanessa stared down at her and ordered her to clean it up.
Emily tried to remain composed.
She didn’t fight back.
She didn’t cause a scene.
But then the groom stepped into the ballroom.
Ethan stopped the instant he recognized the woman standing beside the broken glasses.
“Emily?”
The bride calmly asked if he knew the server.
His answer changed the entire room.
“She’s my sister.”
Suddenly, the woman everyone had viewed like invisible staff was no longer just a server.
She was family.
And Ethan now saw exactly how his bride and her family had treated her.
When Margaret tried to stop him from reaching Emily, Ethan p*shed her away.
When Vanessa att@cked him, he refused to let her put another hand on his sister.
Then, in front of the entire wedding reception, Ethan removed his wedding ring and placed it on the table.
Vanessa stared at him in disbelief.
“Ethan…
what are you doing?”
His answer was calm.
“Ending this.”
But just when everyone thought the confrontation was over, a banquet manager arrived with a tablet.
He confirmed that the ballroom security cameras had recorded what happened before Ethan ever arrived.
Vanessa’s face suddenly turned pale.
Because whatever was on that footage could reveal that the shattered glasses and public humiliation were only the beginning.
And Ethan was about to see everything.
