Chapter 1: The House He Never Owned

Three days after my emergency C-section, I stepped into our living room carrying our newborn and found my husband kissing another woman.
Before I could process it, he pointed at the front door and told me to get out of his mansion.
He had no idea who actually owned everything.
I stood there bleeding through my hospital pad while holding our baby girl.
My abdomen burned with every breath.
Marcus stared at me like I was a stranger breaking into his home.
The woman beside him was wearing my silk robe and drinking from my wineglass.
"Take the baby and get out of my mansion," Marcus said.
I glanced at two suitcases packed by the stairs alongside a box containing my father's ashes.
They had packed my entire life while I was recovering in intensive care.
"You were supposed to stay with your mother," he muttered coldly.
"My mother died six years ago," I whispered.
He shrugged.
"Then go to a hotel."
His mistress smiled at me without an ounce of shame.
"Don't make this uglier than it needs to be," she said smoothly.
Marcus believed he was the self-made owner of this entire corporate empire.
He thought I was just a quiet bookkeeper who got lucky marrying him.
He never bothered to check who actually signed the trust deeds.
He never noticed that the multi-million dollar corporation was named after my family line.
I carefully settled my baby against my chest and looked at him.
"Your mansion?" I asked softly.
Marcus laughed in my face.
"Don't embarrass yourself."
I pulled out my phone and dialed our family estate lawyer.
He picked up immediately.
"Activate the emergency trust protocols," I said into the speaker.
"All of them."
Marcus's smug expression instantly vanished.
"Has he threatened you?" the lawyer asked coldly.
I looked straight into my husband's eyes.
"Yes," I replied.
"And he has no idea whose house he is standing in."
