# THE WOMAN AT THE DOOR
---
## CHAPTER 1: The Woman Who Walked Three Days
The heavy, gilded doors of the lavish white ballroom swung open, cutting through the romantic music and instantly freezing every guest in their seats.
Down the polished marble aisle stepped an elderly African-American woman, her frame frail and her clothing tattered and worn.
Wrapped in a frayed shawl and clutching a humble green cloth bundle against her chest, her weathered hands trembled with every step.
Gasps rippled through the opulent venue as the well-dressed guests turned in sheer disbelief, watching the impoverished woman disrupt the million-dollar ceremony.
Tears brimmed in her tired, bloodshot eyes as she gazed toward the altar, her voice quivering above the stunned silence.
"My son...
I only wanted to see you," she sobbed softly, holding her modest bundle closer to her chest.
😢
At the floral arch, the handsome African-American groom stood frozen.
He spun around, his breath catching in his throat as his eyes met his mother's frail silhouette.
Standing beside him in a dazzling lace gown and a glittering tiara, his bride recoiled in absolute disgust and fury.
"Who let her in?!" the bride shouted, her voice sharp enough to slice through the air as she gestured wildly toward the door.
"Security, get this homeless woman out of my wedding right now!" 😤
The groom didn't move toward security.
Instead, his heart shattered into a thousand pieces as he stared at the woman who had sacrificed everything to raise him.
A single tear spilled over his eyelash, tracing slowly down his cheek.
"Mom..." he whispered, his voice cracking with overwhelming emotion.
"Mom, is that really you?" 💔

Ignoring the furious glares from his bride and her wealthy family, the groom stepped away from the altar and rushed down the aisle.
He knelt slightly, gently taking his mother's frail shoulders to steady her trembling body, looking deep into her tear-filled eyes.
