Chapter 1: The Fall from the Balcony

For three long years, I worked tirelessly as a live-in nanny for a well-known family, treating their infant son with unconditional love and care.
But everything shattered on a peaceful afternoon in their lavish mansion.
Standing in the spacious foyer, I happened to glance toward the second-floor balcony and felt my bl0od run cold.
The wealthy mother was standing beside the glass railing, her expression utterly detached as she deliberately let her newborn baby drop into mid-air.
Driven solely by instinct, I threw my body across the cold marble floor, catching the crying infant in my arms right before a f@tal impact.
Aching and in tears, I clutched the child close, only for the furious father to rush down the stairs, screaming and violently sl*pping me across the face for allegedly trying to h@rm his heir.
I desperately sobbed on my knees, begging him to believe me, but my words were completely useless.
Suddenly, his young daughter hurried into the hallway and pointed frantically at the smart security monitor mounted right on the wall.
